Cluster Platform Austria
In 2008, a National Cluster Platform was established at the initiative of the Federal Ministry for Digital and Economic Affairs.
The objective of this National Cluster Platform is to provide a structured working level where federal and regional players in the field of clusters may initiate and develop joint topics. This Austrian RTI dialogue will contribute to the successful interaction of science, research and business as well as to strengthening innovation, internationalisation and growth within the domestic business community, in particular in small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). This is always an important consideration in the Austrian government's Work Programme.
The Austrian clusters are major partners within the Agenda Industry/Production 4.0, an initiative launched by the Federal Ministry to strengthen the competitiveness of SMEs and key companies in cooperation with the federal states.
